Take Note is a Transcription Service with an online platform that was founded in 2006. They embrace technology, take care of their typists, and have honest upfront prices.

Requirements:
- an excellent understanding of the English language, both spoken and written and at least a grade C in English GCSE.
- type accurately at 65wpm.
- access to a fast, secure broadband connection.
- possess your own laptop/pc with
anti virus software and Microsoft Office installed.

- 18 years old or over.
- meet quite tight deadlines
- be registered as self-employed or will be doing so shortly, and understand should your application be successful you will be working for Take Note on a freelance basis.

Application Process:
The application process has three stages, all online, and consists of a typing speed test, an English language test, and then the grand finale will be having a bash at transcribing an audio file yourself. The first two stages are assessed by the system as you go along, but the last stage will be marked individually by one of their team.

Pay rate
For full transcription, the rates of pay start at 46 pence per minute of audio (not per minute of your own time). This will increase depending on the number of speakers in the audio. You will start with full transcription and then train in summary files and notes later on, which are paid at different rates.
Payment method:
You will need to generate an invoice in the Portal on the first day of each month. If you are in the UK, you will be paid directly into your bank account within the first fourteen days of the month. If you are not based in the UK, they will pay into your bank account through American Express within the same timeframe.
